Question to NTID forum - Show me literacy curriculum??

Given all the Federal money provided to both Gallaudet and NTID from the Dept of Education, National Health Insitute there is not available to schools for the deaf ( including the Laurent Clerc Center) families, mainstream educational settings, a deaf education curriuculum, reading instruction, instructional media such as dvd's, that are written for deaf students.

  1. Specifically, you mean literacy materials for families, etc, with deaf members?

In the past there were series of materials written for drill work in English sentence construction and vocabulary which were tested and found effective by Gallaudet. If they or similar materials were put on DVDs, that would be great.

Families need all the interesting and tested Deaf-effective materials they can get. If funds can be provided to get these materials to the families for free as soon as they discover their child is deaf, even better.
